Acceptable Use & Fair Access Policy

Last updated: January 2026

AirWave provides prepaid, data-only eSIM data service on nationwide US networks. To keep the service fast, reliable, and lawful for everyone, all customers must follow this policy.

1. Permitted Use

Access and use the Service for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes consistent with ordinary consumer data use: internet browsing, streaming, navigation, email, social media, app-based calling and messaging, and similar activities.

2. Prohibited Conduct

  • Any activity that violates federal, state, or local law.
  • Harassment, threats, obscene or defamatory communications.
  • Reselling, redistributing, or sharing your service for compensation.
  • Bypassing network security, anticircumvention, or unauthorized access.
  • Hacking, port scanning, DDoS, or interference with the underlying carrier networks.
  • Data abuse, including server hosting, crypto mining, or continuous tethering to evade plan limits.
  • Use that interferes with public safety or emergency services.

3. Data Usage & Fair Access

Each AirWave plan is billed per-megabyte for the bandwidth actually used (Wave On The Go: flat 82¢ per GB, charged daily — shown in your dashboard). There is no fixed data cap, but to keep service quality consistent, AirWave reserves the right to:

  • Manage or suspend connections engaged in prohibited intensive use.
  • Apply fair-access measures on extreme, disproportionate usage.

We will always provide at least 14 days' notice before materially changing these provisions.

4. Hotspot & Tethering

Hotspot/tethering is supported on all plans and draws from your plan's data allowance. Repeatedly routing an entire home or lab internet connection through your eSIM (tethering abuse) is prohibited and may be managed or suspended.

5. Device Requirements & Compliance

You must use an unlocked, eSIM-compatible device. Usage of the Service must comply with FCC regulations and the underlying carriers' network rules. AirWave may verify devices to prevent tampered IMEIs or grey-market equipment.

6. Enforcement

AirWave may, after notice, suspend or terminate service for violations of this policy. Repeated or severe violations (including unlawful mess media and network attacks) may result in immediate suspension. We cooperate with law enforcement and will provide records as required by law.

7. Questions / Report Abuse

If you believe misuse is occurring, report it to [email protected]. Questions about whether an activity is allowed? Email [email protected] or ask AirWave AI.
